The South Asian earthquake has killed thousands and put millions at risk of death from exposure. speak the language and know the terrain. The world is still waking up to the scale of the tragedy. Supplies are only slowly reaching the injured and homeless survivors. Three weeks on, MANY easily accessed villages still need aid to enable them to survive the bitter winter that is coming.

YOUTH WITH A MISSION, an international and inter-denominational Christian agency involved in relief and development worldwide has been operating on the ground since the day of the quake.

WHAT ARE WE DOING? YWAM Rapid Response Teams are buying relief supplies, hiring vehicles, gathering volunteers and distributing aid to survivors. They From YWAM England, we are sending funds to sustain their efforts. Quality, thick blankets and plastic sheets are being purchased in the cities and distributed to families in scattered villages around Mansehra, Abbottabad, Balakot and Muzaffarabad in Northern Pakistan.

Rapid Response Team visits are now a life-line for many. They see them as their only hope. Survivors need kerosene cookers (£4/$8 each), lanterns, food, milk for children, further blankets (£12/$25 each). Medicines and vaccines are needed to stem infections from wounds and the onset of tetanus .
