Loren Cunningham
Challenges New Zealand - Again

"Revival Comes"

by David Hall

New Zealand
Missions pioneer Loren Cunningham * spent the last three days (Nov. 21 - 23) as the key speaker for a conference in Auckland, New Zealand. The theme of the conference was "Revival Comes".

Vintage Loren, he challenged the packed audience night after night on: the Word of God and how it can impact individuals, communities and nations; unity and prayer; and making Jesus Lord - in every area of your life, including finances. Filled to capacity, some nights the overflow crowd had to watch Loren via a screen in the lobby area.

Sponsored by GRN (The Great Revival New Zealand) - a Korean Pastors initiative that
Auckland skylinecoordinates weekly pastors prayer meetings and monthly united prayer events - http://across.co.nz/PrayerNetworks.html - several of the key leaders of this group are graduates of YWAM's Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) or Crossroads DTS from Kona, Hawaii and other parts of the world. There are now around 100 Korean Christian churches in the Auckland area alone.

Loren also spoke to a group of about 50 pastors for several hours during the day, Tuesday - on missions and the need to equip people to influence society through the major arenas (family, church, government, education, media, business/science, arts/entertainment/sports) - followed by a wonderful Korean lunch. Key YWAM NZ leaders were also part of this special gathering.

6 AM Thursday morning Loren flew out of Auckland for Brisbane, Australia for more ministry - missing Thanksgiving, missing family, missing the YWAM family in Kona, Hawaii - but full of vision and passion for the Glory of the Lord to fill the earth.

* Loren Cunningham is now recognized as "the most traveled man in the world" - having preached the gospel in every country. In most of those countries he has made numerous trips and preached in many of the states, provinces or districts. In only a few cases, because of the legalities, it had to be in small groups or even one on one.
