Satellite Programming in Iran Exceeding Expectations
"One
in every three people who contact SAT-7 PARS tell us they have made a
personal decision to follow Christ. Another third have questions, and
then go on to make such a decision to follow Christ. That's two out of
every three. It's really amazing. God is at work!"
Teresa Neumann (October 22, 2007)
(Easton, Md.)—According to a DeMoss Newsarticle, SAT-7's
new 24-hour Farsi-language satellite television channel SAT-7 PARS
is exceeding expectations in Iran. The article quotes a Persian church
leader as saying that SAT-7 PARS is "the most significant thing
in Iran today."
Another Christian
(name withheld for security reasons) said, "I hear people say,
'everyone is watching SAT-7.' One in every three people who
contact SAT-7 PARS
tell us they have made a personal decision to follow Christ. Another
third have questions, and then go on to make such a decision to follow
Christ. That's two out of every three. It's really amazing. God is at
work!"
It is noteworthy that the programs televised in
Iran are not western programs, but rather are created by and for the
Iranian people.
