Pakistan - YWAM
"RescueNet"
I am emailing you to inform you that YWAM Australian Mercy
Ministry arm
ARMS has sent in team from RescueNet into the earthquake zone in
Pakistan.
The team has been deployed by helicopter into the most northern part of
Pakistan a remote area where little aid has managed to get through.
The deployment took some time to put together as the team leader Mark
Cockburn was in Europe with me on a speaking tour trying to to raise
support
for the establishment of a disaster relief ministry such as RescueNet in
Europe at the time the quake occurred.
Putting the team on site has been expensive and keeping them will also
need
considerable finances. The numbers of people they are expected to help
could
easily run into the many thousands. News reports form the zone
they are in
last night were saying that there were cases of gangrene and broken
bones
that had north been treated since the quake occurred.
Please pray for the team and if you feel that you would like to
contribute
towards the cost of their deployment please either do so by making a
donation through our office here in Melbourne or via our secure site

select
RescueNet Pakistan Deployment from the International Projects menu. If
you
would like to give direct aid to earthquake victims then please select
Pakistan Earthquake Appeal from the International Projects menu.
Prayer and warfare will be an essential key to the success of this
deployment.
So far the international community have been slow to respond to this
disaster - as with every earthquake time means lives - the on set of
winter
will mean that many thousands of people will be threatened with a
horrible
death from exposure.
Please pray for the RescueNet team and for the many other YWAMers who
are
helping in this disaster.
