JESUS Film Project in Indonesia

A film team is traveling from Orlando, Florida, but it isn't going
out to convince tourists to visit Disney World so they can see that
it's a small world after all. This JESUS Film Project team has much
more serious business in mind. The team must take exacting log sheets
from native speakers of non-translated languages like Aceh and
Madurese and make sure that line by line translations of the book of
Luke are correct.

The lines of text are tested by first recording and carefully
matching the timing and tone of the original native speaker who did
the first translation. If translated lines are too long or short they
must be edited to be a perfect match. Eventually a committee of
language experts reviews the translation to ensure its accuracy and
faithfulness. This is done so that the original meaning is conveyed
in the heart language of the unreached people that speak it.

Pray for these workers who might soon have the JESUS Film available
to two of Indonesia's most resistant people groups. Thank God for the
painstaking work of the JESUS Film translation teams to make sure
they are communicating the truth of the book of Luke accurately.

Pray that the Aceh and the Madurese of Indonesia will soon be able to
hear "Jesus speak" in their own dialect through these crucial film
translations.-DG

"...that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on
earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phil. 2:10

All creatures will one day bow to acknowledge the universal Lordship
of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that there are two kinds of people
who bow to acknowledge Him: those who do so now, in loving submission
to His rule in their lives; and those who will do so at Christ's
coming, in fearful and obligatory submission.

Lord Jesus, we will proclaim the gospel of Your Kingdom during this
acceptable day of salvation.
