ISLAND BREEZE
IWT TEAM OUTREACHES
The team of 21, made up of several of Island Breeze staff from Hawaii, Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, USA, Tonga, and South Africa left Tampa on October 1st for the 4-week outreach to Brazil. They were joined by two other YWAM groups; GX Jam and Team Extreme.
The preparatory work leading up to the Brazil outreach had not
been easy. All hell seemed to broke loose and it was a battle between the
forces of darkness and the forces of God. Prior to the event, the Chairman
of the Crusade was involved in a car accident and had to undergo surgery
two weeks before the crusade. Voodoo rituals were done in front of his
house and he had received death threats prior to the accident. Many witches
came to the city as they received a direction that an opposition very strong
is going to happen. But Christians in Londrina and around the world were
praying and had taken their stand in the spirit realm, too.
The three groups arrived in Londrina on the week of the event and joined
the local churches with worship and warfare. The Brazilians in the group
took a bold stand in calling forth their people through the celebration
of cultural dances and music of their people as an act of spiritual warfare.
It was the prayers of God's people and the joy of the Lord that moved the
hand of God to see the release for the crusade both in the spiritual and
the physical.
As a result, the witches fled from the city the day before the first
performance was scheduled because the 'forces were too strong to fight'.
During the 4-week outreach, a total of 15,180 people flooded to
the altar responding to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Eight-five
percent of this total were first-time commitments.
The team arrived home on October 27th, picked up four more team members and then drove out on October 31st for a 3-week outreach to Kansas.
